Ukrainians are being warned about a surge in scams where criminals impersonate representatives of government entities. These fraudsters promise monetary benefits, assistance with document processing, and other fake services. The National Police of Ukraine has shared insights on these scams and how to protect oneself.
Common Fraudulent Schemes Pretending to Be Government Services
- Sending notifications about court summons;
- Offering help with driver's license or other document applications;
- Promising cash payments;
- Calling or messaging under the guise of the Pension Fund, National Bank, or other state bodies.
