A recent analysis of video-assisted referee (VAR) reviews in the English Premier League reveals a significant trend in officiating decisions. Referees altered their original calls 95% of the time following pitch-side VAR assessments.
Interestingly, the analysis found no statistical connection between the overturned decisions and factors such as crowd size, game score, or the timing of the call. Moreover, whether the decision involved the home or away team also showed no influence on the outcomes.
