Amid rising political polarization globally, the well-being of liberal democracies remains a critical area of study. A recent investigation by researchers from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) has shed light on how polarized election outcomes influence citizens' satisfaction with democratic processes.
The findings reveal that whether individuals triumph or falter in such elections does not significantly diminish their commitment to the fundamental tenets of democracy. This study provides essential insights into the resilience of democratic principles despite increasing political divides.
