The crew of NASA's Artemis II mission has successfully returned to Earth after an incredible journey that marked humanity's first return to lunar exploration in over half a century.
Aboard the spacecraft were NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen. They splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off California at 5:07 p.m. PDT, wrapping up an ambitious 10-day mission that included venturing 252,756 miles from Earth.
This mission not only tested the spacecraft's capabilities but also set the stage for future exploration missions, paving the way for sustainable human presence on the Moon.
