The legendary Memorymoog synth is known for its impressive sound and notorious reliability issues. Arturia has now introduced the Memory V emulator, allowing musicians to experience its iconic Moog sound without the sky-high vintage price and common headaches associated with the original device.
Manufactured from 1982 to 1985, the Memorymoog was the last polyphonic synth crafted by Moog before its bankruptcy in 1987. It delivered a rich sound comparable to six Minimoogs in one unit and was among the pioneers to incorporate MIDI support, right at the transition period from analog to digital in the synth industry.
