China has launched a national digital ID system specifically for humanoid robots. On May 28, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) officially unveiled a comprehensive lifecycle platform for these machines. From now on, each robot will be assigned a unique 29-digit identification code that serves as its digital passport.
This new system encompasses every stage of a robot's existence, including production, sales, daily operation, and eventual disposal.
