Apple has increased the starting price of its Mac Mini to $799, discontinuing the previous entry-level model priced at $599 with 256GB of storage. This change comes shortly after CEO Tim Cook acknowledged during an earnings call that a chip shortage would impact Mac products in the near future.
Cook noted that supply issues primarily affect several Mac models, including the Mac Mini and Mac Studio, which are experiencing higher-than-expected demand. He indicated that it may take several months to achieve a balance between supply and demand for these devices.
