The Artemis II crew recently paid tribute to the popular novel and film, Project Hail Mary, during their lunar flyby. Mission Control engaged with Commander Reid Wiseman by echoing the phrase "Amaze! Amaze! Amaze!" amidst their awe-inspiring view of the Moon and Earth.
During NASA's live broadcast, Commander Wiseman described the magnificent sight, noting the relative sizes of the Moon and Earth from their vantage point. With a planned distance of 252,760 miles, this mission will set a new record, surpassing the Apollo 13 mission.
Set to return on April 10, Artemis II marks humanity's first trip to the Moon in over 50 years, a significant achievement paving the way for future lunar and Martian explorations.
