Workers with Exemptions Still Receive Draft Notices
- Exempted employees may still be called for duty
- Exemption does not remove military obligations
- Notices may relate to administrative requirements
Employees who have military exemptions are not entirely immune to receiving draft notices. While military enlistment offices (TCK) cannot mobilize individuals with valid exemptions, there are instances where they still receive summons. Lawyer Olena Voronkova from Ivan Khomyts' law firm clarified the nuances surrounding these situations.
It is crucial to understand that having an exemption does not equate to being removed from military duty. Exemptions provide temporary relief from mobilization duties, but the responsibilities for military accounting remain intact.
As a result, even exempted individuals may encounter draft notices or calls to the TCK, typically for reasons unrelated to mobilization, such as administrative processes and compliance checks.
