Wisconsin Governor Rejects Porn Age Verification Bill

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has vetoed a controversial bill that would have mandated age verification for residents accessing pornographic websites. In his letter to assembly members, Evers expressed concerns that the legislation imposes "an intrusive burden on adults seeking to access constitutionally protected materials."

The vetoed bill, known as AB 105, would have forced sites with a significant amount of content considered harmful to minors to implement age verification methods, such as requesting a government-issued ID. This decision reflects a growing debate across the nation, as over two dozen states have introduced similar measures.
