Dead by Daylight Developer Rules Out Sequel
- No sequel planned for Dead by Daylight
- Developers focus on continuous updates and improvements
- Game remains current despite its 10-year age
Behaviour Interactive has officially confirmed that there will not be a sequel to Dead by Daylight. During a discussion at the Game Developers Conference, the development team emphasized their commitment to enhancing the existing game through support, updates, and collaborations.
According to head of partnerships Mathieu Cote and creative director Dave Richard, creating a sequel does not align with fan expectations. They stated, "It never makes sense for the fans... That’s the game they want to play." Instead of starting anew, the developers aim to evolve the beloved title to ensure it remains engaging for both new and returning players.
As Richard noted, "We want people that start today, tomorrow, next year, to feel like they’re playing a game that is current." Their goal is to keep Dead by Daylight fresh without forcing players to begin from scratch.
