Ukrainians Favor New Homes Purchased on Credit

Ukrainians are increasingly buying new homes with loans. As of now, 99% of mortgage credits in the primary market are processed under the government program "eOselya." According to Elena Dmitrieva, the First Deputy Chair of Globus Bank, there has been a marked shift in the types of apartments being purchased and the areas favored by homebuyers.

Current Trends in Credit Purchases

Previously viewed as too expensive or risky, buying an apartment in a new building has become more accessible. In March 2026, a record 240 mortgage loans were issued, the highest since the program began. Notably, demand has now shifted towards compact and affordable living spaces, highlighting changing preferences among buyers.
