Xbox Game Pass Enjoys Price Reduction

Starting today, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will benefit from a rare price reduction in the subscription model. The monthly fee has dropped from $30 back to $23, a surprising move under the new CEO, Asha Sharma. However, this comes with the significant caveat that Call of Duty titles will no longer be included on their launch day.

This strategic shift follows an internal memo suggesting the previous price hike was too steep. While the price decrease is welcomed by many, there are concerns about potential future changes, such as the introduction of ads within games. Although some titles already feature ads, the possibility of intrusive advertising during gameplay raises alarms among subscribers.
