Fuel Price Trends in Ukraine

According to Andriy Zakrevskyi, an energy expert and deputy director of the Ukrainian Association of Energy and Natural Resources, the recent decline in fuel prices in Ukraine might not last. During a national television broadcast, he noted that the drop in prices has slowed down, and the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz may signal a potential rise in costs.

Zakrevskyi emphasized that any increase in prices would be controlled. He highlighted that when the state-owned company Ukrnafta acts as a benchmark for pricing, it prioritizes national interests over profit margins. This indicates that, despite global speculative pricing, the situation in Ukraine can remain manageable.
