Microsoft Introduces Advanced Agent Mode in Office Apps

Microsoft is launching an upgraded feature called Agent Mode in its Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Previously referred to as "vibe working", this mode enhances the existing Copilot functionality, enabling users to achieve more interactive and efficient workflows.

According to Sumit Chauhan, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Office Product Group, earlier models lacked the capacity for Copilot to function as an active participant in document creation. With this new capability, users can expect a more dynamic engagement with the application, allowing for proactive actions rather than merely answering questions.
