Hired by Lucasfilm to develop a New Jedi Order film featuring Daisy Ridley as Rey Skywalker, Lindelof left the project in 2023, prompting curiosity about its direction.
In a discussion, he characterized his approach as confronting the "Force of nostalgia" against the "Force of revision," likening it to a "Protestant Reformation inside Star Wars."
