IShowSpeed Teams Up for New Anime Series

Streamer IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., is set to launch a new anime series in collaboration with Matt Owens, the co-showrunner of the live-action adaptation of One Piece. This upcoming title is being developed at Big Shot Pictures, an animation studio created by former Paramount co-CEO Brian Robbins.
While specific storyline details remain under wraps, IShowSpeed expressed his excitement, stating, “I’ve always loved anime, so being able to create something like this is a dream come true for me.” Known for his engaging gaming and real-life streaming content, this project marks his first foray into narrative content. With the support of a talented production team, including Owens and director Harmony Korine, the anime will showcase IShowSpeed’s unique creative vision.
