Reviving an Old Laptop with Linux

In a bid to resuscitate an outdated laptop, I recently transitioned from my sleek MacBook Air to a nine-year-old ThinkPad. This device is part of the millions of Windows 10 PCs that no longer qualify for Windows 11 upgrades after Microsoft ended its support. Faced with a recommendation to dispose of it, I opted for a different route.

Despite being deemed obsolete, this ThinkPad remains fully operational and capable of handling daily tasks, from web browsing to document editing. Linux provides a fresh lease on life, enabling continued use without the need for costly upgrades. Embracing this open-source alternative is proving to be a rewarding experience.
