Hasbro Cancels D&D Game by Jedi Survivor Director

In a surprising turn of events, Hasbro has officially canceled a new Dungeons & Dragons game developed by Stig Asmussen, the director behind Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and God of War 3. The news was confirmed by both Hasbro and the game's developer, Giant Skull Studios.
A Hasbro spokesperson stated, "While we decided not to pursue an early concept from Giant Skull, we have great respect for Stig Asmussen and his team." Despite the cancellation, Asmussen expressed positivity about ongoing collaborations with Hasbro’s subsidiary, Wizards of the Coast.
Although details on the project were limited, the game was anticipated to be an action/adventure title within the D&D universe. Fans are hopeful that Giant Skull will rebound with new projects, while Wizards of the Coast looks forward to releasing its highly anticipated sci-fi game, Exodus, in 2027.
