GTA 6 Release Date Pushed Back Again

May 26, 2026, was scheduled to be a monumental day for gaming enthusiasts, marking the long-awaited release of GTA 6. However, that release has been delayed, now set for November 19, 2026.

Rockstar Games has a well-documented history of postponing game launches. Initially slated for Fall 2025, this revision is part of a trend, as expressed by the company’s commitment to quality. Rockstar stated that they require additional time to meet the high expectations of their fanbase.

Take-Two's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, confirmed that this latest delay places the launch approximately 18 months behind the original timeline. Despite the shift, the release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S is confirmed for November.
