Developed by Pearl Abyss, this open-world action-adventure game quickly captured attention by reaching 2 million sales in its first day and 3 million within five days. A heartfelt message on the game's official Twitter account expressed gratitude to the fans for their support.
Following its rocky start, marked by a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, subsequent major patches have enhanced gameplay significantly, resulting in a 'very positive' rating. Peak concurrent players have also surged, surpassing 276,000 recently.
With development costs reportedly around $133 million, Pearl Abyss is optimistic about reaching 5 million sales and is considering future expansions, though no plans for DLC have been confirmed yet.
